
Tia Pinney has worked at Mass Audubon for over 25 years. Currently, she is the senior naturalist and ecological management coordinator in Mass Audubon’s Metro West Region. Tia is involved in much of the Region’s educational programming as well as being in charge of all ecological issues whether wild, landscaped, or agricultural. Prior to working at Mass Audubon, she was a high school science teacher. Tia grew up on a dairy farm in Connecticut, is a fiber artist, and feels that working at Mass Audubon has been her dream job combining her roots in farming and her love of science and teaching.
Walpole Green is a group of citizens dedicated to a healthy environment, including moving toward 100% renewable energy. They work to protect our natural resources and to address the climate crisis in Walpole and in our state and country. Over the years they have been increasing the town’s awareness of the need to move towards sustainability and carbon reduction in its municipal structures and functions.
