Photographing a Solar Eclipse

March 14 @ 7:00 pm EDT

This workshop will cover how to photograph the Sun whenever you wish, as well as specifically how to photograph a solar eclipse, such as the one happening on April 8th.

As a participant you will learn about the different types of solar eclipses and what to expect in your photographs, the importance of safety when photographing the Sun, what you need to safely photograph the Sun, and resources that you can use to plan. For your camera, you’ll learn the techniques and settings for successfully capturing these rare moments, including creating composite eclipse images and shooting an eclipse time-lapse. All in all, you’ll learn why photographing the Sun is always fascinating and within reach with the gear you may already have. Bring your camera if you need help using it.

Silvana della Camera is an award-winning photographer serving New England and beyond. She offers courses in photography for both group and private instruction, camera club and art association presentations, events, and portrait session photographic services.
