Join us as Betsey Dexter Dyer will give a Power Point presentation on the former Wrentham Branch Railroad. The Wrentham Branch line, built by the Old Colony Railroad, was active in Walpole from 1890 until the 1970s. This lecture is about the history of that branch including interesting historical events and anecdotes. It is also about where you can see remnants of the rail line in Walpole today. That includes the surprising relocations for two of the station houses that were on that line as well as rail trails. For example, the rail trail behind the COA is part of that Wrentham Branch.
