Teen Community Kit

May’s Theme: Emergency Preparedness

What is it and how does it work?

With the Teen Community Kit, you earn volunteer hours at your own pace. You will learn about this month’s theme – emergency preparedness – and complete projects intended to aid your family and community.

Do I have to finish everything?

You are free to do as much or as little as you choose. The more options you complete, the more hours you will earn, but how much you do is up to you!

How do I track my hours?

All community-service hours will be tracked in Beanstack. If you do not already have an account, go to walpolelibrary.beanstack.org to set one up. Once you have completed a task, go to Beanstack to check it off and provide the proof requested (a photo of your project, a book review, a summary of what you learned, etc.).

How long do I have to complete this?

You have all month to complete the tasks in the kit. Don’t forget to submit the requested evidence! Within the first week of May, I will send you a letter via email reflecting your hours earned.

If you have any questions, please email me at edoherty[AT]ocln.org

The volunteering kits will be on hiatus during the summer and will resume once school starts up again.
