Molly Riportella (she/her) joined the Walpole Public Library as the Assistant Director and Adult Services Librarian in Fall 2020. She has worked in libraries for over a decade, and in that time has worked in every department at one time or another. In her current role, Molly combines her natural curiosity and passion for reading with her desire to help others through community outreach, collection development and readers’ advisory. She works closely with local, state and federal agencies, local groups, NGOs, authors, publishers, independent bookstores and other review sources to bring books, people and information together.
Molly has presented at local and regional professional conferences on readers’ advisory and career advancement, and most recently served as a judge in the 2022 Massachusetts Book Awards. Molly is a reference librarian at heart and loves the hunt of answering a tough question. She is also an audiobook aficionado, amateur genealogist (with a personal interest in Eastern European ancestry), is an Enneagram 5/ENFP, and an animal lover.
