Any resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts may obtain a library card from the Walpole Public Library. There is no age limit to obtain a library card. Presenting a photo ID with your current street address is recommended. Children who wish to obtain a library card must verbally provide their name, address and telephone number or have an adult present to assist with registration. We recommend that each family member obtain and use his or her own library card.
Lost Cards
Please notify the library immediately if your card is lost. There is no charge for a replacement library card. Let us know of any change in your name, address, phone, or email. You are responsible for all materials borrowed on your card even if you loaned it to another person. Borrowing policies may differ from library to library even among Old Colony Library Network members.
eCard registration
An eCard is a Walpole Public Library card that you can sign up for online, and provides access to all online resources, including OverDrive and Hoopla. You can also place holds on library materials (print books & magazines, CDs and DVDs), read emagazines, watch streaming movies, documentaries and educational series, read The New York Times Online, and research products in Consumer Reports.
On your next visit to the library, we will convert your e-card to a permanent card. Please bring your photo ID with you when you visit.
